Lena Dunham Endorses Obama, Promotes Marriage Equality (TWEET)

Posted: Updated:

"Girls" showrunner Lena Dunham took to Twitter to endorse Barack Obama's reelection bid, posting a photo of herself with "marriage equality" written on her hand.

Dunham says she's voting for Obama because she wants the opportunity to "party at her sister's future wedding." Grace Dunham starred alongside Lena in "Tiny Furniture," a film Lena wrote and directed. The siblings' real life mother, artist and photographer Laurie Simmons, also appears in the movie.

The tweet and photo were posted on Obama's official tumblr page as well.
