Erica Hill is heading to NBC News, multiple outlets reported on Friday.

Hill, who previously co-hosted CBS News' morning programs, "The Early Show" and the revamped "CBS This Morning," will co-host the "Today" show's weekend edition.

Hill was replaced on CBS' morning show over the summer. Norah O'Donnell, who served as the network's chief White House correspondent, assumed the chair next to Charlie Rose and Gayle King in a role that seems to be working well for the broadcast.

The "Today" show's weekend edition recently celebrated 25 years of broadcasts. The program is currently hosted Lester Holt on both weekend mornings. Jenna Wolfe joins the hosting team on Sundays.
