The "sex addiction" diagnosis has long been a controversial one, with skeptics claiming that it's nothing more than an excuse used by libidinous people to justify their infidelity.
But new research indicates that sex addiction may indeed be a real disorder eligible for inclusion in the next edition of the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
