Solange Knowles has taken the fashion world by storm.
The singer/model/DJ/mom is a front row fixture at Fashion Week, landed a major clothing campaign, has worked the runway for Alberta Ferretti, has gracefully recovered from a few fashion fails and is pretty much universally praised for her sharp sartorial eye.
So, there's only one last thing to do--start a clothing line.
But according to The Cut, Solange doesn't plan to add "fashion designer" to her long list of monikers.
"Honestly, I would never do anything like that — there's so many talented designers that have such a massive skill and have been working on it for so long," Solange told The Cut.
Normally we would applaud a celeb for stepping aside and allowing the real designers to handle clothing the masses. However Solange is definitely a star we wouldn't mind seeing throw together a collection--even if it means she's only approving sketches and not drawing them up herself. We can just imagine all the prints, colors and awesomeness...oh my!
But before all hope is gone, Solange (thankfully) revealed that a fashion collaboration isn't out of the question.
"Kenzo, J. Crew are all my peeps. To work with friends is how I’ve structured my life," she said. "I've been approached a few times. It's really a matter of the timing being right. There's obviously a lot on my plate now, and my son is a high priority on my list."
