• BEST: Kate Hudson

Besides wowing us with her cleavage at the amfAR 3rd Annual Inspiration Gala at on October 11, Kate Hudson's makeup also caught our attention. She put her hair up and kept her lipstick natural to keep the focus on her enviable smokey eyes. Work it, Kate!

  • WORST: Lady Gaga

We never thought we'd miss Lady GaGa's wacky hair and makeup, but seeing her kinda normal is well...normal. While the Mother Monster was receiving a Lennon Ono Grant For Peace Award on October 11, she seemed to hiding behind her new brown hair and wide-brimmed hat -- totally atypical for a singer we love for always trying to stand out. To make matters worse, her makeup was in all warm tones, so it fell a little flat. Come back, Lady Gaga!

  • BEST: Beth Behrs

Beth Behrs may play one of the "2 Broke Girls" on television, but she looked like a million dollars at amfAR's Inspiration Gala. The actress' simple cat eye would even make Dita Von Teese jealous. She also kept her look fun with a spunky red-orange lip that looks great with her complexion.

  • WORST: Lindsay Lohan

We've already talked about Lindsay Lohan's recent hair issues, but LiLo's makeup is disappointing us too. The actress attended the Mr. Pink Ginseng Drink Launch Party on October 11 looking a bit overdone. It also looks like she's back to her old tanning ways. We wished she went for a colorful lip and put less powder and cover-up on her face. It's time to embrace your pale skin again, Lindsay!

  • BEST: Chrissy Teigen

When Chrissy Teigen attended the 2012 Resolution Project Fundraising Gala at The Harvard Club on October 11 she looked absolutely radiant. (We suspect it might have something to do with her engagement to John Legend.) She went for dramatic brown eyeshadow and and used a bit of color on her lips and cheeks to give her an all-over glow. Her easy and relaxed hair made her look even more like a beach babe.

  • WORST: Rose McGowan

Rose McGowan has never been known to rock timid looks on the red carpet, so when she arrived at amfAR's Inspiration Gala on October 11 with a dramatic makeup look we weren't too surprised. We were surprised, however, to see that the actress' bold choices didn't charm us this time. Although we dig Rose with bangs, the heavy eyeliner, intense red lip and thickly applied foundation aged her a few years and took away from her natural beauty. Next time, we'd advise Rose to channel Marilyn Monroe not her ex Marilyn Manson.

  • BEST: Naomi Watts

Actress Naomi Watts is seemingly ageless, especially with the help of makeup that really suits her. She attended "The Impossible" premiere after party on October 8 in Spain looking fabulous with tousled glossy locks, a red pout and some mascara to make her eyes pop.

  • WORST: Ari Graynor

Actress Ari Graynor attended the Glamour presentation of "These Girls" on October 8 in New York City with hair that looked a little too much like a certain politician's wife. We think Ari should keep it young and maybe go for an edgier cut. We'd also like to see a little more color in her makeup. Have a little fun and try to stay out of the neutral color palette next time, Ari!

  • BEST: Lara Bingle

Lara Bingle's look at the SK-II skincare line red carpet event on October 11 in Australia is an example of when less is more can really work. The stunner made a good choice by going au naturale (with just a swipe of mascara) and she looks better than we've ever seen her.

  • WORST: Christian Serratos

We were super excited that "Twilight" actress Christian Serratos went for a retro look at the unveiling of the Tacori "City Lights" Jewelry Collection on October 9, 2012 in California, but we wish she had executed it a little differently. When wearing such a strong red lip, it's better to go more natural on the rest of the face (read: less bronzer and eyeliner). Also, retro hair doesn't have to mean stiff hai. Next time, we'd advise using less hairspray, Christian.
