No Debate: Takeout Food Is Big Winner

Mitt Romney isn’t the only one hoping to repeat on Tuesday a strong showing from the last presidential debate — restaurants that offer takeout also had a big night during the previous presidential go-round and are looking to taste another win.
In Boston, home to Romney’s campaign headquarters, food orders during the first presidential faceoff jumped 41 percent, according to data from the online food ordering service GrubHub.com that was compiled for POLITICO. That’s compared to the average number of orders placed during the four preceding Wednesdays, said a spokeswoman for GrubHub, which bills itself as the largest online and mobile food ordering service in the country.
