The 21-year-old Bangladeshi man arrested in the failed Federal Reserve terror plot on Wednesday may have had an accomplice in San Diego.

NBC reports Howard Willie Carter II is being questioned by federal authorities concerning his possible connections to Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis.

Officials reportedly found a hard drive belonging to Carter that stored illegal porn along with email accounts associated with the name "Yaqueen."

In federal documents, "Yaqueen" has been identified as Nafis' associate who wanted to assist the terrorist attack.

On Wednesday, Carter was arrested on the unrelated child porn charges and is being treated as a co-conspirator to Wednesday's foiled attack.

Since Nafis was arrested, his family has been tormented over the charges, with his brother even suggesting Nafis was the victim of a conspiracy.

His father Quazi Ahsanullah told the Associated Press, "My son couldn't have done it...He is very gentle and devoted to his studies...I spent all my savings to send him to America."

A law enforcement official said Nafis also considered targeting President Obama and the New York City Stock Exchange.
