“Gallup actually posted a number of three day windows after the first debate. Using that, some rough math and some triangulation with the favorability/unfavorability numbers (which are reported on a different time period), it looks like Romney may have had some really really (like +10) polling days somewhere between the 11th and 13th. It will be interesting to see what happens to the Gallup numbers as those days come out of the survey over the next three reports. My money is that this reverts to where everything else is now...a very close race with a slight Romney edge.” - mrdovenb

“I had never before noticed the Huffpollster party ID chart, but I looked it up when I saw the Pew results in the "latest polls" box. Tracking almost 700 polls, the results for the last 3 months--Republicans flat, and a lot of Independents turning into Democrats.” - marty913

Cwpiper does some number crunching on state-by-state turnout here.

Advice on how to participate in a poll: "Mostly, you just sit by the phone....and try to appear random." - StatsNo1fan
