George McGovern Dies: Media Remembers Former Senator (PHOTOS)
The death of former senator George McGovern prompted a flood of tributes from journalists on Sunday.
McGovern passed away on Sunday at the age of 90. He was in hospice care.
McGovern's legacy included opposing the Vietnam War, and advocating for tax reform and national health insurance. Journalists remembered the legendary progressive on Sunday, highlighting those accomplishments.
Time magazine's Mark Halperin tweeted, "George McGovern was a great&lovely man who worked for a better America throughout his life. Rightfully, the eulogizing will be bipartisan." Below, see how other members of the media remembered McGovern.
