Thanks to a tour de force performance in Morgantown, Collin Klein vaulted Kansas State to the No. 3 spot in the latest BCS rankings and stepped to the front of the pack among the candidates for the Heisman Trophy. Rushing for four touchdowns and passing for three more in the Wildcats' demolition of Geno Smith and the Mountaineers, Klein headlines a Week 8 chock full of eye-popping stat lines.
"He doesn't do anything wrong," raved WVU coach Dana Holgorsen after his team absorbed a 55-14 loss. "He's hard to tackle. He gets them in good plays. He doesn't turn the ball over. You can say what you want to about the throwing motion, but it goes exactly where he wants it go. He's a good football player."
Per Stewart Mandel of Sports Illustrated, Klein's effort resulted in "a de facto changing of the guard atop every Heisman Watch list on the Internet." Of course, Klein was hardly the only player occupying a spot on some of those Heisman lists to bolster his chances this weekend. USC quarterback Matt Barkley threw six touchdown passes of his own and Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o had another monster outing as the undefeated Irish continued to climb in the rankings.
Here a baker's dozen of the most impressive Week 8 efforts. Which player gets your nod as the biggest man on campus this week?
