Fans of "Chelsea Lately" know that the late-night show moves quickly. With only thirty minutes -- compared to most talk shows' hour-long format -- Chelsea Handler knows how to keep things moving. The rapid delivery, though, can leave some celebrity interviews feeling truncated.
While most guests roll with it, Tyler Perry seemed caught off guard when Handler started wrapping up their little chat. He interrupted her closing statements with, "What do you mean go out? I’ve only been here two damn minutes!"
Perry then took control of the entire interview, facing the cameras directly, and wrapping up his interview by playing both roles.
"So, ‘Alex Cross’ is in theaters right now. We want you to come and see it. We’ll be right back. Thanks for being here, Tyler. Oh, you’re very welcome. Thank you so much for having me, Chelsea. Really great," he said.
To see Tyler Perry for more than "two damn minutes," check him out in "Alex Cross," in theaters now. "Chelsea Lately" airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET on E!
