'My Life Is A Lifetime Movie': Man Wanted Family To Think Him Dead

When Christine Carter's husband decided he was done with his wife and kids, he absolutely meant it. The latest episode of "My Life Is a Lifetime Movie" told the story of how Nicholas Francisco disappeared abruptly. Christine thought he was dead.

It was a year-and-a-half of not knowing until a reporter found him in California. "I’d rather be dead to everyone," he said. "I don’t know how to emphasize that to you, I just want to be left alone."

It turns out Nicholas was a swinger and a sex addict who had cheated on Christine many times. Finally, he'd decided he was done with domestic life and he fled to California. He left Christine to pay off his college debt and raise their children alone.

According to ABC News, after the divorce was finalized, Christine lost her home to foreclosure. She and her new husband, along with her three kids, are living in a basement apartment.

Shocking true twists and turns every week on "My Life Is a Lifetime Movie," Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
