Jessica Simpson Weight Loss: Newly Slim Star Hits The Gym (PHOTO)

In the six months since Jessica Simpson gave birth to daughter Maxwell Drew, the new mom has lost 60 of the 70 pounds she gained during pregnancy, according to Us Weekly.

Simpson's newly svelte figure comes courtesy of Weight Watchers' PointsPlus program and rigorous sessions with trainer Harley Pasternak.

And lest there was any doubt that Simpson has been hitting the gym hard, the star was spotted looking fierce en route to a workout, sporting a cheerful pink hoodie, shorts and sneakers.

The achievement was reported the same week as some unfortunate news for Simpson: Her parents, Joe and Tina, are splitting up after 34 years of marriage.

While Simpson's hard work at the gym clearly paid off, she revealed that losing the baby weight was more difficult than she expected. "I didn't realize it [the weight] didn't all come off with the baby," she told USA Today in September.

"I'm not a supermodel. My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I'm just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiancé and herself," she said.
