Michelle Obama Appears With Cristina Saralegui In Political Ad Targeting Latinos (VIDEO)

Posted: Updated:

Will Michelle Obama draw more Latinos to the polls?

With the debates done, the presidential candidates are turning to their ground game, and both President Barack Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney know the crucial role that Latinos will play in this election. A series of national tracking polls of Latino voters have given Obama a substantial lead over Obama. But Latino turnout is what really matters.

Perhaps that's why Michelle Obama is starring in a new ad aimed at Latino voters. The ad features the First Lady speaking with Cuban-American talk show star Cristina Saralegui in an oddly bi-lingual conversation.

"Why's it so important for Latinos to vote in this election?" long-time Obama supporter Saralegui asks in Spanish. Answering in English, Michelle Obama says comprehensive immigration reform, the survival of the Affordable Care Act and the future of education are at stake.

Do you think this ad will have an impact on Latino voters? Let us know what you think in the comments.
