Michelle Obama's Height Gets Her Noticed In Public, She Tells Jimmy Kimmel (VIDEO)

Now is that too much to ask?

Oh, the burden of being tall.

Michelle Obama lamented the attention her height brings on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Thursday, explaining that she gets noticed way too often because of her five feet, 11 inches frame.

The topic came up when Jimmy (who seems so comfortable with FLOTUS we wonder if they hang out in their free time) asked the first lady the eternal question: if you could take one day off from being the first lady, what would you do?

We already know the answer, Jimmy: Michelle likes to shop.

"I would walk out of the door of the White House like a regular person, walk down the street, go to the drugstore, go to CVS... I would shop, go in there, go shop, I'd go buy my toiletries, I'd pay money, I'd get a receipt. [Ed. note: first ladies don't get receipts??] Yes, and then I'd go sit on the park bench and just watch people."

But given that she is the first lady, that's difficult to do without getting noticed:

Michelle: "There are time when I do disguise it up. it's a little hard because I'm so tall, so you see people just kind of looking at me just because I'm so tall. And then it's like you, 'Oh, it's you!' But every now and then I try to sneak out... but I don't get to do it that much."

Jimmy: "How elaborate are the disguises? Are we talking, like, a nose and glasses?"

Michelle: "It's just warm-up[s], cap -- oh, I shouldn't tell my disguise!"

Oh, it's OK. We already know your disguise from that famous trip to Target: cropped pants, a floral shirt and a Nike baseball hat. Of course Mrs. O also mentioned on the "Today" show that she's snuck out to Baskin-Robbins, Petco, Chipotle and Starbucks in the past.

So why, oh why, do we never see Michelle out shopping at J. Crew? That would be the best.

When she's out of disguise and in her "first lady uniform," this is what Michelle Obama wears:
