Paul Robins, World Series Anchor, Gets Pooped On By Bird During Live Segment Outside San Francisco's AT&T Park (VIDEO)

WATCH: Bird Poops On World Series Anchor During Live Segment

A California news anchor had to learn the hard way that reporting from the Bay Area can be a messy affair.

FOX40's Paul Robins was reporting outside of San Francisco's AT&T Park before the Giants took on the Tigers in Game 2 of the World Series when a bird pooped on him during a live segment. The blooper sent co-anchor Bethany Crouch into a fit of laughter, while Robins lightheartedly embraced his inevitable fate.

"One of my goals in life is to make it on YouTube, and I think I just did," Robins said as he wiped himself off.

Crouch tried to help him get clean, urging him to continue, but to no avail. Robins lamented his ruined coat and held up his splattered glasses as proof that he was hit in the eye.

If it's any consolation, common superstition states that bird droppings are a sign of good luck. San Francisco fans may be rooting for similar incidents involving hometown reporters, given that the Giants defeated the Tigers to take a 2-0 series lead Thursday night.
