Did you think you imagined a grayish yellow bust of President Obama catching your eye in the Loop Friday?
Fear not, friends: The bust, crafted entirely out of butter, was the real deal.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that two Chicago-based artists Mathew Wilson and Adam Brooks are at the helm of the bust, which the two carted through the Loop in a glass-fronted cooler from the Fulton Market District to the Chicago Cultural Center, where the piece is now on display through Feb. 17.

Wilson explained to NBC Chicago that the two, with the help of Ohio artist Bob Kling, wanted the piece to be made of butter because it represents an oft-celebrated American tradition, particularly at Midwestern state fairs. It is titled "The Harvest," according to NewCity, because the artists are attempting to gather the reactions of onlookers.
"We invite the public to make of that what they will, rather than make a political statement of our own, which would surely be a very dull thing to do," Wilson told the Sun-Times.
The two artists were previously responsible for a Ten Commandments ice sculpture they pushed up and down Michigan Avenue in 2005, the newspaper reports.
