Dolphins' 'Gangnam Style' Dance: Miami Blocks Punt For Olivier Vernon Touchdown vs. Jets (VIDEO)

Dolphins Celebrate Blocked Punt TD 'Gangnam Style'

The Miami Dolphins demolished the New York Jets in all four phases of the game in Week 8: Offense, defense, special teams and celebrations.

Perhaps no play signalled the Dolphins' Sunday superiority than a blocked punt late in the first quarter. With the Jets punting from inside their own red zone and Tim Tebow in to block, the Dolphins sent two rushers up the middle. Tebow was able to block one but not Jimmy Wilson, who snuffed out the punt. Backup defensive end Olivier Vernon recovered it for the Dolphins' touchdown.

Vernon and a couple other Dolphins players celebrated in the end zone with the dance from Korean artist Psy's "Gangnam Style" video.

"We wanted to take advantage of Tebow when they were in the regular punt set," Wilson said after the game, via USA Today. "I knew that if Tebow blocked Jonathon Amaya, I would be wide open for the block and that's how it happened."

The Dolphins special teams weren't done.

As the first half was coming to an end, the Jets were already down 20-0 and looked like they were finally going to get some points on the board with a 35-yard field goal. But Vernon broke through the offensive line and blocked the attempt to keep the Jets scoreless.

Back to "Gangnam Style."

Led by special teams and backup quarterback Matt Moore, Miami shut down New York en route to a 30-9 victory.
