Alamy

It is a truth universally acknowledged that the tallest presidential candidate generally wins. This maxim has held true throughout modern history (with the rare exception of Richard Nixon and George McGovern). To wit, Barack Obama is 6'1 and Mitt Romney is 6'2. What does that say about the upcoming election?

Maybe nothing! In some rare instances tallness does not always win the day. Check out our slide show of the smallest presidents. Then tell us, who is your favorite? Weigh in below!
