Chelsea Handler stopped by to chat with Conan O'Brien on "Conan." And while she may have hoped it wouldn't come up, inevitably O'Brien was going to ask her how she felt about hew new studio. Handler recently moved into a space much bigger than her old set. More specifically, it was O'Brien's old set from his short tenure on "The Tonight Show."
"I don’t feel great about it, but I mean--" Handler started, but O'Brien finished the thought. "Somebody should use it ... We put a lot of work into that thing."
Handler looked uncomfortable to be talking about such a difficult time in O'Brien's life, he said it was all good. "I believe in airing these things." Besides, O'Brien is settled in nicely in yet another new studio on a new network with his contract renewed through 2014.
Handler will have more time than O'Brien did to enjoy his old studio, though, as she also struck a new deal to stick around E! until 2014. At least that means there's plenty of time for them to have more of these awkward conversations. Maybe she could have him over to her place next.
Chelsea Handler and Conan O'Brien go head-to-head every weeknight; "Chelsea Lately" on E! at 11 p.m. ET and "Conan" on TBS at 11 p.m. ET.
