Maybe it's brunettes that have more fun.

Or at least it appeared that way on Wednesday's first live broadcast of "The X Factor" season 2 -- when Demi Lovato debuted yet another hair color change -- this time, returning to her dark brown roots.

The singer kept her bangs, which she cut this past summer, and wore her hair down and pin-straight.

Lovato has tried out a number of very different looks in the last 12 months, ranging from pink hair and blue tips to blonde locks and a bright-red ‘do.
