Just last week Scott Disick was reportedly spotted checking out engagement rings, even though his girlfriend and mother of their two children, Kourtney Kardashian, has been very vocal about not wanting to make things official.
Could Kris Jenner have something to do with Disick's sudden apparent interest in proposing to his long time love? A source tells In Touch magazine that the couple is planning to get engaged when they tape the end of the season of "Kourtney & Kim Take Miami" in December, perhaps at the urging of Kourtney's "momager," who believes the engagement will be good for ratings.
"[Kris] runs the family empire and knows it would be good for business so she is pressuring Kourtney to marry Scott," a source told In Touch. "Even though Kim made the stupid mistake of marrying Kris Humphries and it didn't last more than 72 days, Kris thinks viewers want to see Kourtney and Scott get married. The reality show must succeed."
A rep for the couple denied the claims to In Touch, and an E! insider similarly told Gossip Cop the couple aren't planning to get married at this time.
It's not the first time the Jenner-Kardashian family has been accused of pulling stunts for publicity. Kim Kardashian spent the last year trying to convince the world that her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries wasn't just for ratings, and that her current relationship with Kanye West isn't a showmance.
If Scott and Kourtney do become engaged it means the 33-year-old reality star was able to work through some major issues.
"I'm really claustrophobic, and all my issues - and I have a lot of them - they all stem from this thing. I can't commit to anything... but I love Scott, and he is my partner," she told Jimmy Kimmel in June. "We are committed to each other, we are together, we have a great partnership - I don't think I'm any different than Khloe and Lamar."
