Remember back in 2008 when Vampire Weekend was the biggest band ever, but then everybody predicted it wouldn't last because of internet backlash and whatnot? Well, the band is still around: Two years after the group's sophomore album, "Contra," made a No. 1 debut on the Billboard charts, Vampire Weekend premiered a new song on Wednesday night's "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The verdict? As good as ever.

Called "Unbelievers," the track sounds exactly what you might expect a Vampire Weekend song to sound like. It's jaunty, harmonious and perfect background music for hipster dinner parties.

In a nod to Halloween, Vampire Weekend performed the song in costume: each member wore makeup that recalled the villainous costumes from "Karate Kid."

Kimmel is hosting his late night show at the Brooklyn Academy of Music this week, a special homecoming for the comic, who was born in Brooklyn, New York. Despite the Monday episode being canceled by Hurricane Sandy, the rest of the show has gone off without a hitch.

Vampire weekend plays "The Kids Don't Stand a Chance" in Paris, France Read the whole article and see more videos here: "Paris wasn't exotic that day—it was not Montmartre on a spring Sunday. It was the opposite of Daïquiris. The guys wore student sweaters, Ezra had his scarf on, and they were responsible for the sun: their mission was to put some color in the Northern area of Paris. What a burden." http

  • I Stand Corrected-Vampire Weekend

I Stand Corrected by Vampire Weekend from their self-titled debut album. For listening purposes. You've been checking on my facts And I admit I have been lax In double-screening what I say It wasn't funny anyway I stand corrected No one cares when you are wrong But I've been at this far too long To act like that when we should be In perfect harmony I stand corrected Lord knows I haven't tried I'll take my stand One last time Forget the protocol I'll take your hand Right in mine
