TOP 5 FOR FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2

1. DC Week At Various Locations
This massive, week-long series of events had over 10,000 attendees last year. Due to things like a massive storm and a massive election, this year may not attract that number but it'll be close. Track #DCWEEK on Twitter for updates and neat stuff.

2. Nick Vatterott At Arlington Drafthouse - POSTPONED DUE TO SANDY, SCHEDULED TO APPEAR SATURDAY
The Andy Kaufman Award Winner is what you'd expect from an Andy Kaufman Award Winner. Funny, absurd and different. Funny comes first. 9:55 p.m., 21+, $20, also November 3

3. Hello Kitty For President At Living Social's 918 F St. NW
We may not all have the same political views, but we can all agree that the idea of voting for a Japanese cat icon is dumb but could be fun. Free, colorful stuff and a chance to support the "Friendship Party." Why not? all ages, no cover, through November 6

4. Dethklok At The Fillmore
Sure, they may be an animated band, but they also happen to be the most successful band ever (in the cartoon) and a relatively large theater act (in real life). All That Remains, Machine Head and The Black Dahlia Murder round out the show. Real or not, this is a good lineup. Also a good soundtrack for this weather. 6:30 p.m., all ages, $43

5. Dia De Los Muertos Costume And Dance Party At The Torpedo Factory
Excellent local band The Torches will provide the soundtrack for this party in a large art space. 8 p.m., all ages, $15 to $20

TOP 5 FOR SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3

1. Million Muppet March At Lincoln Park
Yet another chance to dress up and wear a Big Bird costume! 10 a.m., all ages, no cover

2. D's Nails At The Fridge
DECOY is a talented D.C. based artist. Her street art is the kind of thing you'll see in a high end boutique that has good taste. She's also giving manicures. Learn about this interesting art experience at the artist reception. 7 p.m., all ages, no cover, through November 24

3. "Political Advertisement" At AFI Silver Spring
In 1984 Antoni Muntadas and Marshall Reese screened presidential ads from the 1950s to 1984. Every four years they've added the standout commercials from the current election. This year brings the eighth edition of the series. 6:30 p.m., all ages, $7 to $11.50

4. TNT! At Haydees
D.C.'s best soul night returns to their Mount Pleasant home. 10 p.m., all ages, no cover
