Doris Roberts Style Evolution: It's All About Prints And Hairspray...Lots Of Hairspray (PHOTOS)

Posted: Updated:

Although she's best known for playing one of the most iconic TV moms ever -- the wise-cracking Marie Barone on "Everybody Loves Raymond" for the show's nine year run -- Doris Roberts, has been in the biz for more than 50 years. In that time she's earned five Emmy Awards and brought humor into millions of peoples' homes.

Doris is still on the small screen (and recently the silver screen) breaking age boundaries like some other leading ladies we love, always bringing her unique brand of wit to everything she does. And her clothes have always been a reflection of her larger-than-life personality: bold prints, statement jewelry, bright makeup and high hair have always been key elements to the actress' look.

Not a follower of trends, Doris knows what she likes and sticks to it. She makes unconventional voluminous silhouettes and pants suits glamorous and red carpet-worthy (move over Diane Keaton). More than anything Doris always seems to be having fun with what she wears, and that's what's we love about her.

In honor of Doris Roberts' 87th birthday on November 4th, we're taking a look back the actress' signature style. Check out her evolution, and tell us which look is your favorite!
