Kevin Harvick's Car Damaged By Skydiver Before NASCAR Sprint Cup Race (VIDEO)

WATCH: NASCAR Driver's Car Damaged By Skydiver

NASCAR drivers must be vigilant on the track. But rarely are they looking to the sky for potential threats. From here on out, Harvick might be.

Harvick's No. 29 car sustained some unusual damage at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday. Not long before the Sprint Cup race was scheduled to begin, a parachuter flying a giant Texas state flag clipped the door panel of Harvick's ride with a trailing weight before touching down during the pre-race ceremonies.

Although it appeared that the damage may have only been a cosmetic issue, the car was still brought to the team's garage to undergo some quick repairs.

Harvick later tweeted about the odd incident that perhaps foreshadowed his 9th-place finish. He had finished first in a Nationwide Series auto race on Saturday night.
