For those who live in Louisiana, here's what you need to know about voting on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

The closing time for Louisiana polls is 8 p.m. Central Time; Opening time for Louisiana polls is 6 a.m. local time.

Not sure where to vote? The Louisiana Secretary of State's website has a "Where to vote" page that will help you locate your polling place.

Louisiana will grant eight electoral votes to its victor in the presidential race. The state has voted for the Republican presidential candidate the past three elections, as well as six of the last eight.
