In fact, in his recently published book, legal professor David Pastrana suggested that the newly divorced go through the same stages of grief as those dealing with the death of a loved one -- chiefly, denial, anger, depression and acceptance. And a recent study by Michigan State University revealed that divorced people experience a more rapid decline in their well-being than their married counterparts.
