The job description for an NFL quarterback has changed over the last few years. No prior professional experience is needed anymore. After all, just a year after Cam Newton transitioned from Heisman winner to a fantasy MVP, rookie Andrew Luck made history by passing for 433 yards, the most ever in a single game for a rookie. In the same week, Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson tossed three touchdowns in a key win over the Vikings.
While the quarterbacks get much of the glory, other rising stars made their mark in week nine. A pair of young running backs led the charge for the Lions to give them their fourth win of the season. Back to Indianapolis, it was rookie wide out T.Y. Hilton who hauled in the most passes from Luck. While some young talent like Andrew Luck and RG III are far from available in your league, there are a few players that are worthy and available.
