The Ohio election has 18 electoral votes up for grabs in the presidential race between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.
Obama goes into Election Day with a razor-thin lead over Romney, according to the latest polls. The Buckeye State is critical to determining whether the president will secure another four years in the White House.
As voters hit the polls on Tuesday, Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown is running ahead of Republican challenger Josh Mandel. The race has seen a massive influx of money from outside groups.

Much of the $27 million in outside money flowing into Ohio has come from conservative and business interest groups seeking to elect Josh Mandel, the 35-year-old state treasurer dubbed the "boy wonder" by Republican Governor John Kasich.
"The outside money has enabled Josh Mandel to run a competitive race," said Grant Neeley, a political science professor at the University of Dayton. "He didn't have name recognition before. The political ads have allowed him to build that name recognition and get his name out there."
Polls open in Ohio at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time.
