National Park Lodges To Visit In Winter

Although America's national parks are primarily summer destinations -- special places to hike, boat, fish, and observe nature under the warm summer sun -- an off-season winter visit can be a unique and rewarding experience, with far fewer crowds and shorter lines. Several parks are even at their busiest when most of the USA is at its coldest. Everglades (Florida), Death Valley (California), U.S. Virgin Islands, and Hawaii Volcanoes national parks enjoy climates that are most desirable during the winter months.
