WATCH: Willie Geist's Official 'Today' Show Debut

The "Today" show's newest host made his official debut on Monday.

Willie Geist, the former host of MSNBC's "Way Too Early" and co-host of "Morning Joe" stepped across the plaza to begin his tenure on "Today."

Fellow co-hosts Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Natalie Morales were on-hand to welcome Geist and present a video package dedicated to the former MSNBC anchor's rise in broadcasting. Geist's wife, along with his father, CBS "Sunday Morning" correspondent Bill Geist, also appeared in the video to help viewers get to know "Today's" newest face.

Willie Geist will co-anchor the 9 a.m. hour of the program alongside Roker and Morales.
