Divorce is always difficult on children. Dr. Gail Saltz, psychiatrist, visited me on Mondays With Marlo and outlined how to maintain a healthy divorce to avoid hurting your child. Try your hardest to not be vicious toward one another or say anything critical about the other parent in earshot of the child. The more you can compromise by sharing custody and develop healthy relationships with your child, the better they will fare.
