"Oprah: Where Are They Now?" continues to follow Oprah Winfrey as she checks in with some of her more memorable guests from "The Oprah Winfrey Show." This week featured the men from a 1989 episode in which 20 Alaskan bachelors flew to Chicago to find love.
Unfortunately, nobody found "Bachelor" magic on that show, but many went on to find love afterward. Perhaps the most surprising love connection came from John Hendrickson.
"John Hendrickson was the bachelor who wanted a woman who wasn’t afraid to succeed," Winfrey said. "Well, his wish came true. A few years after that show, 32-year-old John married 71-year-old Vanderbilt heiress Marylou Whitney."
The couple wed in 1997, and according to a report in the Palm Beach Daily News, they're still happily together. They're now living in a recently purchased $3 million mansion in the area.
Come back for more updates of classic guests on "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on OWN.
