Sally Field probably knew exactly what she was doing when she told Jimmy Fallon she was "bi" on "Late Night." The actress was there to promote her new film "Lincoln," but let this other bit of news drop as well.
"I’m sort of basically now 'bi,'" she said matter-of-fact.
"Congratulations ... that’s a big announcement," Fallon said. Then, he added, "What exactly does that mean?"
"It means I have a place on both coasts," Field said proudly.
So not such a big announcement. It is a pretty big deal, though, that "Lincoln" has achieved the highest opening ever for a film during its limited release. The movie has played in only 11 theaters, but still managed to rank at #15 for the weekend.
Sally Field can be seen when "Lincoln" expands nationwide on Friday, November 16. "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" airs every weeknight at 12:37 a.m. ET on NBC.
