Wolfgang Grensens, German Hobby Shepherd, Raises Orphaned Lamb (PHOTOS)

Orphaned Lamb Gets A New Adoptive Family

A shepherd's job is to care for his flock -- but one German man has gone above and beyond the call of duty.

When an adorable East-Prussian Skudde lamb's mother passed away, Wolfgang Grensens, who volunteers as a shepherd in Luebeck, northern Germany, decided to raise the 6-week-old baby himself.

The lamb's name is Wally.

Grensens even takes the cute lamb on walks through the town along with his three Australian cattle dogs

CLARIFICATION: While the captions for the Getty images in the slideshow call the dogs Australian shepherd dogs, we believe them to be Australian cattle dogs.
