Brooklyn native Ilana Hochman spends a lot of time in the library. As a second-year law student at New York Law School in Tribeca, she lives in skinny jeans, oversized sweaters and Converse sneakers -- perfect attire for spending hours hunched over library books. As for her style, Hochman had this to say: "I feel incompetent when it comes to putting together a polished look. I feel anxious about looking stuffy and I want to maintain some of my personal style when I'm getting dressed."
Hochman needs to be able to go from class to her internship at a law firm without looking like a young student. Thankfully, she aspires to work in family law which will most likely land her in a small firm that is less stuffy than the corporate legal companies that we all picture when we think of lawyers. She envisions herself wearing pencil skirts, button-down shirts, blazers and black pumps... but with a bit of her own personal flair mixed in.
We happily accepted this challenge. Check out Ilana's transition from preppy student to polished professional below.
