The buzz around the upcoming "Star Wars" movies just continues to grow with rumors and speculation surrounding potential directors, stars, and scripts.

The newest name that's making its way through the mill? Tom Hiddleston.

The British actor, who is known for starring in "Thor," "War Horse," "Midnight in Paris," and "The Avengers," was asked by Digital Spy whether he would consider a spot in the "Star Wars" revival.

"Goodness -- I hadn't thought of that! I mean, yeah, sure!" Hiddleston said in the interview. "I'm a huge fan -- especially of the first three, cause I grew up watching 'Star Wars' and 'The Empire Strikes Back' and 'Return of the Jedi.' So, absolutely, yeah." He added, "It would depend on the story and the character and things."

Hiddleston went on to sing the praises of Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, and said, "I'd take it very seriously if they asked me."

The discussions about potential directors has been heating up recently as well. This week alone Guillermo del Toro, J.J. Abrams, and Joe Johnston were all listed as possibilities, though del Toro and Abrams scuttled any chatter about their names being attached.
