Homemade Gift Ideas: Kindle Case Made From Thrift Store Journal, Felt And Cork

It seems like everyone around us is trading in paper books for e-readers these days. And with commercials boasting new versions of these new gadgets just in time for the holiday season, it's a perfect opportunity to use this homemade gift idea to make something truly unique for the avid reader on your list. Take a look:

This Kindle case was made with very inexpensive things, such as a 99 cent thrift store journal, some felt, cork pad and an elastic strap. And it's leather-bound design gives the illusion that the reader is actually holding a book instead of an e-reader.
