Justin Bieber Marriage: Oprah Says 25 Is 'Too Young'

Oprah's got some advice for Justin Bieber: don't get married in your 20s.

In an interview with Bieber, airing Nov. 25 on "Oprah's Next Chapter," Oprah asks if the megastar really intends to be married by 25. When the 18-year-old reveals that he does, Oprah offers some words of wisdom.

"I think 25's too young, actually. I really do -- and particularly for you," Oprah says. "Your whole 20s is about discovering who you really are, and you owe that to yourself, particularly because of the business that you're in [where there's] not a lot of self-discovery time because so much is already defined for you."

"You are Oprah and you're telling me to not get married when I'm 25, so I should probably listen to you," Bieber responds.

OPRAH! Re your marriage advice to Justin Bieber to not get married until 25 plus:

The best experiences in life are better when two become one. One can do more married than not.

Marriage is the most challenging and most rewarding of human endeavours (Canadian spelling). You have not experienced both sides of the fence and cannot speak from the experience of those who make a marriage work.

Let's see married at 25 and divorced and broke by 27. Words of wisdom will always go over the young people's, and some al fossils, heads. But, who knows, Justin may be going after Liz Taylor's record.

OPRAH FAIL!!! Wow, I've always thought she was so wise but not now. How does a women that has never been married tell a young man in love not to marry. I hope he listens to his Christian mother. I know she would support him. God supports young love, it's time America does too.

I think Oprah needs to give it a rest on giving advice to anyone about anything...the more she opens her mouth, the more she sounds like the monster she created that is Dr. Phil.

I disagree that Oprah shouldn't give marriage advice because she hasn't been married. If a doctor hasn't had cancer or diabetes, should he or she be banned from treating it? Of course not!

Oprah has a lot of life experience and has been around the block a time or two. Personally I appreciate direction and feedback from others in my life who have more success and experience than I do. It sounds like Justin does too.

You get married when you find the right person, not at a certain age. Discovering who we are is something we can do with that special person, and by 25 we better know who we are. Oprah this is not wisdom this is pure selfishness. Life is not about our personal journey it is about creating a family and making the journey together.
