Happy birthday, Joe Biden!

The vice president turns the big 7-0 today, or as we like to picture him saying: "Hey shortie, it's MY birthday."

Biden, now a septuagenarian (!), has had a good run lately: charming Leslie Knope on "Parks & Recreation," blowing up the Internet with his 1993 "Carmen Sandiego" cameo and you know, that whole reelection thing.

The former senator from Delaware even got a birthday shoutout from the president on Twitter this morning -- we hope they're drinking Bacardi later with Biden's wife Jill, who turns 62 next year.

To celebrate, we've rounded up some of our favorite (and smoothest) photos of the veep over the years, from that time he double-fisted ice cream cones to cozying up to some leading ladies -- and biker babes.

Boom. Biden'd.
