Rufus Wainwright and husband Jorn Weisbrodt are featured in Gap's latest holiday ad. The couple were presented in the Gap ad behind the banner of "married love" since they tied the knot in August of 2012.
Wainwright, a musician, and husband Weisbrodt, an artistic director, married in New York city last August and have continued to reside in their studio apartment in Gramercy park.
Gap CMO Seth Farbman in a statement, "Their personal relationships help remind us that every family is unique and often goes beyond just those we're related to--it also includes the people we share our lives and deepest passions with. This campaign celebrates these diverse, optimistic views on family and the many forms love can take."
This year's holiday theme was "Love Comes In Every Shade," showcasing Gap's tendency to be inclusive in their advertising.
According to GLAAD, Gap has a top rating of 100 percent in the HRC Corporate Equality index, making it one of 252 businesses with the highest ranking.
"Gap received a perfect score, meeting criterion including prohibition of discrimination, partner health insurance benefits, competency and diversity programming, external engagement in the LGBT community, and more."
This was the 11th edition of the survey and results show that businesses have never been more open or accepting of LGBT rights and support.
