As of Friday, Miley Cyrus is no longer a teenager. Believe it or not, our favorite "can't be tamed" singer and actress just turned the big 2-0 -- and we think we speak for everyone when we say: where did the time go? It seems like only yesterday that Miles led a double life as Hannah Montana, the character of your pre-teen TV watching days. (Admit it, you had a lunchbox or two with her face on it at some point.)
In honor of Miley's big day -- and being forced to come to terms with the fact that Miley Stewart, Lilly Truscott, and Oliver Oken are never, ever getting back together -- we have compiled a list of the many reasons why "Hannah Montana" was one of the most awesome shows on television. Click through them in the slideshow below.

The Best BFF On Television
Lilly was the epitome of the best BFF of all time: hilarious, fiercely loyal (especially when it came to keeping Miley's BIG secret), and always-honest -- even when doing so created some slightly awkward situations for her pals.
Regular, new music (without overloading us)
Hannah Montana had the perfect formula for giving us regular doses of new music by Miley (often with special musical guest stars) without the exaggerated, choreographed song-and-dance numbers of High School Musical.
The weirdest brother of all time
Jackson was a bizarre dude. And honestly, he only got stranger as the seasons went on.
Even though we now know basically every behind-the-scenes detail about the celebs we love -- none of which include magical, walk-in closets filled with rotating clothes racks and sparkly shoe shelves in the walls -- we still choose to believe that if we were famous, our room would look exactly like Miley's.
Miley's Real-Life Fake Dad
Admit it: there was something super endearing about the fact that Miley's real-life dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, also played her character's dad on the show.
A goofy, light-hearted Miley
Between her inspirational musings on the Twitterverse, her upcoming marriage to Liam Hemsworth, and the fact that she just turned 20 years old (!), Miley has grown into the role of a serious, mature grown-up before our very eyes. While we're loving seeing Miles so happy and confident, we gotta say we sometimes miss her as the young, over-the-top goofball she played on Hannah Montana.
The Ultimate Dream
Okay, it was the most ridiculously unrealistic premise ever: hiding super stardom from everyone at your school by wearing a wig? Please. But the show was still so addictive because Hannah Montana lived every tween's ultimate fantasy: fame, fortune, and celebrity, as well as a totally normal high school existence. We all unabashedly loved imagining what it would be like to live Miley's life -- and we still do! ;)
