Mitt Romney Tattoo: Eric Hartsburg, Man With 2012 Tattoo, Mulls Future Run For Office

You'd think Eric Hartsburg -- aka the man who tattooed a Mitt Romney-Paul Ryan logo on his face -- would be disillusioned with politics after seeing his candidate get creamed in the presidential election on Nov. 6.

But in fact, Hartsburg told HuffPost Live on Thursday that he personally is open to the idea of running for office.

"I think local office would be good, maybe a local chair," he said. "Who knows? Maybe I could be mayor of Michigan City."

The 30-year-old professional wrestler originally said he'd keep the tattoo "for life," despite Romney's loss. He's now changed his tune and plans to have it removed.

Hartsburg also admitted on Thursday that he was disappointed in the way the GOP presidential nominee handled his election loss.

"He's going on the record and blaming Barack Obama for buying votes," he said. "It's shameful."

However, Hartsburg added that he would keep the tattoo if he got a phone call from Romney or Ryan.

"I think I'm bitter," he said. "I think I got snubbed by Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan. ... I didn't get so much as a t-shirt or an email."
