Hanukkah arrives at sundown on December 8, and we want you to be ready for what we fondly think of as Donut Week. Jelly donuts, or sufganiyot in Hebrew, are a traditional Hanukkah food. How'd we get so lucky, you ask? It's all about the oil. Because Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, is all about miracle oil sticking around for eight biblical days, we celebrate by eating things that are -- you guessed it -- fried in oil. Hanukkah is awesome, you guys.

For those of us who have been gorging ourselves on latkes and sufganiyot for decades, experimentation becomes essential. A raspberry jelly-filled donut is a thing of beauty, to be sure, but let's not forget about our friends chocolate, grapefruit and butter. That's right, we found you a recipe for donut butter. Check out all our new favorites below, and let us know what you'll be filling your fried dough with in the comments. Happy Hanukkah!
