Seth MacFarlane To Guest On 'The Simpsons'

Seth MacFarlane To Guest On The Simpsons As...

"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane has recorded a guest spot on "The Simpsons," Entertainment Weekly is reporting.

The funnyman, whose versatile voice has brought life to a bevy of "Family Guy" characters over the years, will be playing a love interest named Ben, whom Marge accidentally contacts over the internet while trying to order cupcakes.

According to EW:

In the episode, titled "Dangers on a Train," Marge mistakes an Ashley Madison-type website for a Dolly Madison-type cupcake site, not realizing that it's a destination for married people to arrange affairs. While on the site, she encounters the charming Ben (MacFarlane), who pursues her as they bond over their mutual love of a Downton Abbey-ish series, Upton Rectory.

MacFarlane fans will be glad to know he reportedly pulls out all the stops and sings a rendition of "The Way You Look Tonight" in the episode. And comedy fans are in luck too, because his wife is voiced by comedian Lisa Lampinelli.

The episode marks MacFarlane's second time teaming up with "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening, the first being a 2009 episode of "Futurama."

MacFarlane's episode is slated to air in Fall 2013 as the season 25 premiere.
