These days, our knowledge of celebrities too often originates with paparazzi images and snarky quotes by anonymous "insiders." After a while, it's easy to forget that stars are real people. That's why HuffPost Celebrity decided to launch its all-new #nofilter quick-fire question and answer series. Because how well do you know someone until they've shared their guiltiest pleasures?
When it comes to these guys, their degree of separation is a solid zero.
Kevin Bacon and his brother Michael, who -- not so surprisingly -- make up the rock duo The Bacon Brothers, will hit the stage on Saturday (Dec. 1) for a live performance on "A Prairie Home Companion," but not before they're subjected to our HuffPost #nofilter challenge.
From the one thing they won't do in front of anybody else, to their unofficial criminal records and what they keep on their nightstands, nothing was off limits with this duo.
Oh, we also accidentally made Kevin Bacon (who's set to play a serial killer catcher on the new Fox drama "The Following") lose his temper -- apologies.

KB: Same.

MB: My friend Sapphire from Bombay.

KB: Rubber animal erasers at age 5.
MB: I stuffed one ice pop down my shirt as I waited to pay for another. The line was long and I got frost bite.
What would people be surprised to know you've never done?
KB: Been to Ireland.
MB: Act.
What's one item that's always in your refrigerator?
KB: Kale.
MB: Maple syrup.
If you could re-write your high school yearbook quote, what would it be?
MB: Most likely to play in the NHL.
What happens in your recurring dream?
KB: I try to run and my legs won't work.
MB: I'm behind schedule and then I wake up and I'm still behind schedule.

MB: When I'm going to be late.
