Emmanuel Sanders Fumbles Untouched In Steelers Win Over Ravens (GIF)

GIF: Steelers WR Fumbles While Untouched

Once again, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens were embroiled in a tense, neck-and-neck game in Week 13. With 37-year-old Charlie Batch at the wheel, the Steelers would emerge with a narrow three-point win. Of course, the game between AFC North rivals might not have been that close had Steelers receiver Emmanuel Sanders not lost his grip on the football without getting touched during the third quarter.

With the score tied at 13, Batch connected with Sanders on a deep pass down the middle on 3rd and 11. Sanders caught the pass in stride and looked like he had plenty of room to run for a long touchdown.

But just before he crossed midfield -- with the closest Baltimore defender about five yards away -- the ball suddenly popped out of his hands. Having lost his grip, Sanders bobbled the ball and tapped it forward, allowing Ed Reed (of course) to jump on it at Baltimore's 37-yard line.

To make matters worse for Pittsburgh, Baltimore quickly capitalized on the turnover. Six plays later, Ray "Hey Diddle, Diddle" Rice scampered down the left sideline for a 34-yard touchdown.

Sanders could have used a bit of that "stickum-type" substance the Chargers were investigated for allegedly using.

Here is Sanders' hot potato moment:
