Heathrow Airport is taking Christmas to the extreme this year, surprising 24 randomly-chosen passengers with luxury gifts including his and her watches, iPads and items from the likes of Jimmy Choo and Ted Baker.

"Santa" arrived at Heathrow over the weekend, and airport spokespeople are keen to dish out thousands of dollars worth of gifts in order to make a handful of the airport's 4.3 million passengers happy.

Some 105,000 people will depart from Heathrow on Friday, December 21, AOL Travel UK reports.

While Heathrow is seemingly going all out for the holidays, there's no official word yet on flash mobs, which overcame the holiday doldrums at Vancouver around Christmas 2010 or the TSA Choir singing carols at LAX in 2011.
