It was the last regular episode of "American Chopper" before the live build-off next week, so fans were left wondering just how the Teutuls would end their reality TV journey. While the season started on a positive note, with Senior and Junior mending their relationship over a bike build just for fun, that old tension started to rise when they decided to try a joint business venture.
This week, they wisely decided they needed to back down on the business project without abandoning the progress they'd made in their personal relationship.
"Business comes back into play, messes everything up," Junior said. "I don’t want it. I mean, I just want to have a relationship and just be ... friends. But we've got to start somewhere, right? I mean, we’re a father and son, but it’s been a long time coming."
Senior agreed, saying, "You got it. I’m OK with that." So there's hope yet.
The Wall Street Journal reported that this scene was filmed just a week ago, meaning the father-and-son pair are still working things through as the live build approaches.
Tune in for the big event as "American Chopper" goes live next Monday and Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on Discovery. And then, after almost ten years on the air, it's all over.
